About Us
Nice to Meet You
I’m Victoria Windham, a licensed clinical social worker and addiction specialist. VV Virtual Therapy is my online practice in Mt. Pleasant, SC. I work from a virtual office, so all sessions are online. I see adults in Mt. Pleasant, in Charleston, SC, and across North and South Carolina. My clients include adult men and women, couples, and families. They bring anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, substance use, and other concerns linked to addiction. Some feel overwhelmed. Some feel disconnected from themselves. Some use numbing behaviors to get by. I also work with partners and family members affected by a loved one’s addiction, helping them communicate, set boundaries, and care for themselves.
My View of Healing
Depending on the person, I use CBT, EMDR, family systems work, nervous system healing, and inner child and reparenting work, including for online trauma therapy. I work in a collaborative, compassionate, and honest way. I explore how relationships, earlier experiences, family systems, and nervous system responses may affect you today. This helps us recognize patterns, understand your reactions, and make lasting changes. I think of a willow, firmly rooted while adapting to the forces around it. Change rarely moves in a straight line. It can include progress, uncertainty, rest, and renewed growth. With understanding, meaningful connection, and the right support, you can grow more resilient without losing touch with who you are. My training includes a Master of Social Work from Winthrop University, full LISW-CP and LCSW licenses in both Carolinas, and full LCAS licensure in North Carolina. I also have an EMDR-Trained Psychotherapist certificate from the Trauma Therapist Institute, an EMDRIA-approved provider. I aim for a warm, respectful, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly and work toward a balanced, authentic, fulfilling life.
